Is information technology a field or a subject that many people seem to be confused about, what is an information technology and what is its ultimate goal? There are also many people who, despite being students of IT, are not aware of its true nature and purpose, and the result is that they are exposed to the three basic fields of computer software engineering, computer science and Information technology is the same thing for all three.
To understand IT, it is important to first understand the term “information technology”. What is it?
“Information” means “information”. We need information about anything in our daily lives. We need information about science, and we need information about psychology, we need information about health, philosophy, religion, history, geography, politics, physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology.
Why Do We Need It?
Because we can’t survey without this information, we are learning about something every day. But why? Because we want to use that information to produce results that can make our lives easier. We can live life easily. So the main purpose of our information was that we wanted to conduct a survey.
How do we get information, and where do we get it from?
Now that man is here; he needs the help of “technology”, which conveys all this information to us. It is “technology” that gives us the answer to ‘where’ and ‘how’. There was a time when the man was in the Stone Age. He communicated his information to others through gestures and various physical movements. He created different symbols for the transmission of information. Man learned to transmit information through symbols, some 300,000 years ago today.
Survival required that this information be passed on more easily to others. So in the next stage, man learned to speak and began the process of transmitting information in a variety of strange voices. Then in the next phase languages were born, which made the transmission of information easier. When the Chinese invented paper, a revolution took place in the world of information.
How to Store Information:
Humans have now learned to store information, and the invention of paper has made the transmission of information much easier. Book publishing accelerated, and libraries sprang up. In the twentieth century, when man invented the computer that could store a huge amount of information, the revolution in the world of information took place. It changed the world map. It took months for a person to convey their messages or information to their loved ones. Now they can be delivered in just seconds. Now with one click, you can easily send your message to remote areas from here. The way to store, move, and reuse information has never been easier. The process of storing, transmitting and reusing information has gone through a complete evolutionary process over millions of years.
How To Further Improve The Way Information Is Transmitted And Stored:
“Information technology” deals primarily with these issues. The world’s most changing catalyst is the Internet and on the Internet. It has the most “information” in the world. There are currently an estimated 1.8 billion websites on the Internet, and the amount of “information” they contain is close to “one million Exabyte’s.” One Exabyte equals “one billion bytes.” One byte is equal to eight bits. The combination of these eight bits makes one letter. This amount of data on the Internet is doubling every year. Saving such a large amount of data And improving its security is becoming a huge challenge. Every individual has some secret information about every nation and country.
There are some secrets that they do not want to share with others—this valuable information. The goal of “information technology” is to meet the challenge of secure storage and transformation of information, so that the transmission of information can be made easier, better and more secure.
